Robin

I think I might have some Robins nesting very close-by, woo hoo. I had assumed since none nested near us last year that this year would be the same…

Watching the station earlier and they were visiting very regularly, and I even caught a glimpse of one feeding the other before flying away. They always leave in the same direction but due to the hedges I lose sight of them, but assume they are nesting somewhere in it.

I look forward to seeing baby Robins soon!

Some photos I took a couple of weeks ago:

Notice the ring on the Goldfinches leg?

Lovely photos Liz, I hope you do have some baby Robins, we had some last year and they were so sweet. I thought our resident Robin had moved on, or (much worse) become a victim of the local killer cat, but yesterday I spotted it on the bird bath.

Thank you SS, I do hope I get some too, I've never had baby Robins before :)

I'm glad to hear your Robin is still around, I think we all have annoying cats in our gardens and mine appears to be a constant battle against it. Just this one seems to love sitting in my garden, I don't understand why. Doesn't even go for the birds but its very presence puts them off coming and at such an important time of year I don't want them missing out on food!

Fingers crossed Liz. Great photo opportunity if they come to visit!

I'm hoping for the same thing as mine fly away with food, always in the same direction and taking the same route.

Some lovely pictures there.
