Aw :( Sorry spring seems to be taking so long for you.

If it's any consolation, those are neat pics lol :D

Hi Liz.....love the photographs....such atmosphere.....

Keep the snow your end please.
We had a cloudy but almost spring like day....the birds were singing as I worked.....I felt like singing myself......

Hi Kyna,

Spring is here... Just the snow insists on also making an appearance!

Baaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Hi Cheryl,

This snow had best be gone tomorrow morning, will not be a happy bunny in the slightest if it isn't.

I thought we'd be let off with it, but it seems our time is up... This morning was sunny and relatively nice, it didn't start until around 2/3 (I was too busy at work to really notice when).

Although I do hope you're spared, I don't think we're supposed to get any more now and I believe rain is forecast instead.

Oh well, another fun trip into work tomorrow no doubt.

Oh the dreaded white stuff again. I do hope it soon goes away we could do with some sunshine and warmth.

Spring will come. It's just resting somewhere else right now. (not, I hasten to add, in Nova Scotia) Your photos are awesome.

Its snowing hard here tonight now - and the ground is frozen rock solid - I think Spring is going to be late here in Scotland

Great photos! Sorry the weather is not cooperating with your dreams of spring...

Here too Liz :( We set off for an appointment yesterday afternoon in swirly snow - we had postponed our original appointment because of the snow at the start of January :) So winter has not had its final fling but great photos. I especially like the rooftops view.

Lovely photos...even if they are of the snow. 12" forecast tonight and tomorrow in Philadelphia. Things ARE growing under all this cold and frost, I just know it. Kelly

Dear Liz, Whilst I really enjoyed your photographs, and thought the last one most evocative, I can appreciate your sense of frustration. Somehow it seems to have been a long and difficult winter this year but spring will be even more welcome.

Lovely photos Liz ...... sorry to burst your currently snow-free bubble, but did you know there's more snow and -12 temperatures forecast for next week?!
Get those crampons onto your boots!

Hi Joanne,

Warmth is a long lost memory I'm afraid... We have had sun, but with it came freezing cold nights and frost...

Hi Jodi,

I'm sure Spring will soon arrive, we just need to get rid of these annoying cold winds which bring the snow with them!

Liz said...

Hi Rosie,

Luckily it didn't last too long this time, I don't mind it so much if it only lasts a day or so as we're accustomed to!

Liz said...

Hi Jan,

Yes more snow, and more is due yet... We'll see what happens... Snow only lasting a day is quite alright with me, 2 weeks is pushing it too far though!

Hi Meredith,

Thanks, I'm sure it'll all be fine... Some plants are already much earlier than last year and I think it's this temptation making it so much worse... Spring arriving and then being snatched away all the time! :)

Hi Anna,

Snow is definitely pretty... If that's the only thing good about it!
So now it's been replaced by fog.. Hmmmmmm not sure which I would prefer??!!

Hi Di,

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Hi Andy,

Thanks! The city behind the clouds soon disppears...

Hi Kelly,

Ouch, 12''! Thankfully I don't think we'll ever see such deep snow! At least that type of depth would mean no one would ever expect you to go into work! Here I live too close to use the excuse that 6'' is too deep for me to walk...

Hi Edith,

Definitely, the glimpses of Spring between snow, sleet and grey is too tempting and making my yearn even more for Spring... It's still only early Feb, we shouldn't expect warm weather yet!

Hi Liz,

Baaaaaaah humbug, you perposefully had to go and burst my bubble.........

No I didn't know about more snow forecast. As long as it only stays one night again and I'll be quite happy. The ice, I do not appreciate and am now wishing I had ordered some of those elastic grips you fit over trainers to allow grip on ice (like crampons)...

Sorry you're stomping your feet... conjures up the child having a tantram in the supermarket!! :-)

The photos are still very pretty - hope your plants have survived okay... have a good weekend - Miranda

Hi Liz, I think your feelings about snow are echoed by many gardeners around the world! Right now, I'm looking at at least 21/2 feet of snow that has come down since yesterday. It's a monster of a storm we've been having here in northern Virginia, and the whole mid-Atlantic region. So don't feel bad...we're all in this together. Browse the blogosphere, which is what I've been doing! I found you on Blotanical. Hope spring finds you soon!
