End of Month View - November

Well, the end of month view isn’t so much of a view, but rather some more snow photos.

Waking up Monday morning and we'd had a splattering of snow, the roads soon cleared though, the fresh snow seemed to help melt the older fall.

V

Ok, so I’m now going to pummel you with even more snow photos, these were taken this morning…

Now let's hope we don't have a repeat for December's End of Month View.

If you'd like to take part pop along to The Patient Gardener

Lovely snow shots Liz! I am not missing it yet. Is the fourth shot from the end a snowflake?? I like how you say the snow helps to melt the old fall . . . of course you could be meaning the last snowfall too. ;>)

Hi Liz, Such beautiful images of the plants and grasses in your garden. My favourite is the first photograph....

The snow has arrived here.......started overnight and has been snowing all day.

Everything is hushed.....and Nella is having a great time pretending to be a snow plough. So cute!!

Fantastic snow shots Liz! The single snowflake is amazing. Snow does make for some pretty pictures but after the first snowfall I am done with the whole idea of snow. LOL! I guess I should just keep quiet about it and except the inevitable.
Have a wondreful week.

Great shots and thanks for joining in the end of month view meme. Your shots just show how much winter interest there is in seed heads etc

Wow Liz, the snow covered flora in the garden is beautiful, but those snowflake shots are just amazing! It doesn't really snow here, and honestly, I only remember a few winters in England where it snowed enough to eek out a snowman, but it looks like most are getting a good dusting this year!

Those are great shots Liz - I'm super impressed with that single snowflake! Also the tendrils - so sweet.

Hi Carol,

Yep the fourth shot from the end is a Snowflake on my coat... The image isn't so good, trying to shoot at full 100mm hand held, whilst racing against time before it melts is not so easy. Perhaps one day I'll set up the tripod and try to get some proper shots :)

Hi Cheryl,

Thank you very much! The first image is the Jasmine on the fence close to the house, they remain quite snow free thanks to the boiler vent.

I hope your snow melts soon, it doesn't look like we'll be so lucky though and I imagine it'll be with us for a little while longer.

When out taking photos it was amazing how quiet everything was. There wasn't even the usual distant hum of cars in the centre. Complete silence.

Hi Lona,

I have to agree with you, at first the snow is pretty but it soon wears off after a few hours/a day. I'm thoroughly fed up of the snow now, and even more fed up of talking about it! lol, it takes over your life!!!
I want our normal winters back... Amazing isn't it, how we normally complain that winters here are boring, just colder and more dreary than the other seasons. Yet, when we get 'real' winter we complain... Never happy.

Hi Helen,

I should probably cut back all the dead growth like the Sea Holly, Verbena Bonariensis and such, but I'm always too lazy and thankfully they're rather pretty with snow on them!

Hi CV,

Exactly, we're all used to a pathetic peppering of snow of the ground which we might be able to build a 20cm tall snowman from... This year has been crazy, I hear the snow has even spread to Spain now so at least we're not alone!!!

Oh, the elegance and the lightness of it all.

I wish we could have snow too.

We have ice - but not even frost.

Fabulous pictures, as always.
The snowflake/ coat one is particularly striking.
Odd you something so lovely can also be really annoying sometimers.
Quite like Cheryl Cole, I suppose.

Dear Liz, I am glad I left England before the snow started. Usually we have had some here by now ... but just rain... Unusual weather everywhere. Your shots are amazing. You should make your own Christmas cards. Or maybe you do. Pam x

Lovely, chilly photos Liz. You have conveyed the essence of your snowy garden beautifully. My favourites are the one with the shed in the background (apologies if it is something more exotic than a shed!), the one before the snowflake on your coat and the one with the birdbath showing just how much snow you have had!

We have only had a very small amount of snow but bitterly cold temperatures -10C one morning recently!!

Hi Liz, your photos make me feel cold just looking at them... I'm glad you didn't cut the seed heads off, they look beautiful transformed by snow. Almost makes me wish we'd had some here...
